With over 16 years of experience in emergency medical services, military intelligence, and law enforcement, Andre Watson has built a reputation for being trustworthy and reliable. He believes these principles are essential for fostering strong relationships within the communities he serves.
From Emergency Care to National Defense
A Lifelong Commitment to Public Service
Andre’s journey in public service began as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) while studying at his undergraduate campus. His passion for helping others led him to work full-time with an ambulance service in western Massachusetts, and later at Boston Children’s Hospital Emergency Department, where he cared for children and families in critical moments.His dedication to service deepened when he enlisted in the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst, supporting vital military operations and national security efforts. His outstanding service was recognized with the Air Force Achievement Medal during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Leadership in Law Enforcement and Campus Safety
Leading by Example in Safety and Preparedness
Andre’s professional path continued within the Boston Police Department, where he earned numerous accolades for exceptional service and ethical leadership.
As a Media Relations Specialist, he strengthened community relations through transparent and honest communication. Later, as a Police Officer, he led emergency response teams with integrity, earning the George L. Hanna Medal of Valor and the Boston Police Department Medal of Honor for his outstanding dedication.
Transitioning into the education sector, Andre served as the Director of Campus Safety and Transportation at Shady Hill School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. There, he developed proactive safety training programs, including Active Threat Response, and built partnerships with local public safety agencies to improve emergency preparedness and school security.

Today, Andre leads Secure Response Strategies with the same values that have defined his career—honesty, integrity, and consistent service. His mission is to help schools, campuses, and organizations create safer environments through proactive strategy, training, and collaboration.
Andre is a proud member of ASIS International, holding an Associate Protection Professional (APP) certification. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Graduate Certificate in Security Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
